David Scott, PASTOR
David was born and raised in the Seattle area, where he grew up attending North Seattle Alliance Church. David attended Biola and Trinity Western University, graduating with a BA in Biblical Studies and a minor in history. He earned his MA in Biblical Studies at Reformed Theological Seminary in FL, and his M.Div. at Westminster Theological Seminary in CA. David and his wife Sara have four children ages 16 to 22. In 2001, David was ordained at Covenant Presbyterian Church in Issaquah where he served as associate pastor before coming on staff at Faith Presbyterian Church in 2007, in preparation for the planting of our church, Resurrection Presbyterian.

John Galle, Elder
John is a native Minnesotan who came to know Christ at the age of 18. Attending Bible college in California, he met his wife, Linda, and together they moved to Washington state in 1978. John is recently retired after a varied career as a teacher, police officer, and city manager. John and his wife Linda have worshipped at Resurrection since 2014 and are both actively involved in teaching the children of the church.

Scott Jensen, elder
Scott grew up in Parkland and attended Washington High School. He has been married to Beth for 25 years and they have 1 daughter, Allison. Scott is self-employed at his plant nursery and hobbies include running, gardening and reading. He is a life-long Christian and has been with Resurrection Presbyterian from the beginning. Scott wants to serve God in whatever ways God has called him to. He loves RPC for the people, the preaching and the community groups.

Doug King, elder (Clerk of the session)
Doug is a native of Central Pennsylvania, but has lived in the Pacific NW for over thirty years. He came to know Christ in high school, then came to a reformed understanding while in medical school and attending Tenth Presbyterian Church in Philadelphia. The Kings are founding members of RPC. In fact, in 2007 the church had its organization meeting and first few months of services in their house. Doug is a surgeon at Good Samaritan Hospital in Puyallup. He and Margie have three adult sons. His life experience can be condensed to “the LORD is righteous in all his ways and kind in all His works.” (Ps 147:17)

J Frank Spears, Elder
Frank grew up in the south and has lived in the Pacific NW for over 45 years. He served in the Army after which he attended the University of Alaska, Anchorage where he received a BS in Civil Engineering. He and his wife Janet are among the founding members of Resurrection Presbyterian Church. They have six adult children and many grandchildren they enjoy in retirement.

Troy Wisdom, Elder
Troy was one of the founding elders of Resurrection back in 2009. He and his wife Diane have three adult children and five grandchildren.

Tim Vander Pol, deacon
Tim was born and raised in the Shoreline, WA area. He was serving as a deacon at Faith PCA when Resurrection was being planted. As one of two deacons from faith attending RPC he assumed many deacon duties at RPC prior to being elected as one of their original deacons. Tim served as Chairman of the Deacons until 2015 when he chose not to stand for reelection when Tim and his wife Sharletta welcomed their twins. They have eight children, two girls followed by six boys. Tim works as one of the Vice Presidents at Peninsula Truck Lines.

Josh Bava, deacon
Josh has served as a deacon since 2018. He has lived in both Washington and Missouri since graduating from Central Washington University with a B.A. in law and justice. He has completed several courses working toward his M.A. in Biblical studies from Reformed Theological Seminary. He particularly enjoys Church history and apologetics and the works of Charles Spurgeon and R.C. Sproul.

Jose Claudio, DEACON
Jose has lived in Washington state for over 50 years and has been a deacon for the past seven years. He is married to Doris, and they have three grown children and four grandchildren. He has recently retired from being a high school counselor and is looking forward to God’s future direction for him.

Nathan Couch, Deacon
Nathan was born and raised in the Roy, WA area. He attended and graduated from a Bible College in Lagrange, WY. He met and married his wife, Joy, at the church they grew up at in Roy, WA. Now they have three children: Steven, Rachel, and Kathryn. Nathan has always enjoyed studying theology and reading books. As of January 2020, Nathan has been working at a Kitchen and Bath cabinet store selling cabinets.

Nick FAllis, deacon (CHairman)
Nick was born in Alaska but has lived in northwest Washington for his whole life since the age of one. He is married to Beth Fallis and has four kids: Christian, Wells, Audrey, and Bronte. He is looking forward to helping the family of RPC in whatever ways God points him.

Michael Lee, Deacon
Michael grew up in the Midwest and came to the Pacific NW as a teenager. He has been a member of RPC since its beginning and one of the original deacons since 2010. Michael recently retired from teaching. He and his wife, Diana, have 5 adult children, 13 grandchildren and enjoy traveling.

David over, deacon
David grew up in Kent, WA and came to faith in Christ while attending Emmanuel Orthodox Presbyterian Church, where he first met his wife Sarah when they were 12 years old. They have been attending Resurrection since 2017 and have two children, Luke and Ruth. David graduated from Central Washington University with a BS in IT and Administrative Management and works as a Video Producer for Amazon.

Abi Gross, ADMINISTRATOR
Abi Gross and husband Jon have 3 children. Both Jon and Abi were born and raised in the PNW. Abi attended Whatcom Community College, obtained a degree in Office Administration, which led her to work in insurance. After working in insurance for 9 years, she joined us in 2023 as our church administrator.

Denise Postma, music director
After graduating from Dordt College, Denise moved from her childhood home near Ireton, IA, to Hanford, CA. While living in California, she served as Worship Coordinator for the Hanford CRC for over 12 years. In October 2016, she moved to Puyallup and began serving as Music Director at RPC one year later. Denise also works as a paraeducator for the Puyallup School District. She enjoys spending time with family, cross-stitching, gardening, going for walks, and appreciating the beauty of the Pacific NW.
